WILL WAS WRONG.. My beloved soulmate had immense pain because of an accident and 2 major spinal surgeries but he never wanted to let go of a single second of our time together. Although he wasn’t paralyzed, he was impaired. The things we did with such passion gave way to a passion of the mind as our two souls met and soared together. He3 was 16 years older than me when we met (29/45) so I think he always had a small worry that I might want more than he could give. But he came to understand what I knew instinctively that love was what mattered, not mere physical activity. Love is in your heart and your mind and your soul. If you truly have love it grows and comes to encompass you totally, leaving no room for pity or regrets or desire for other things that are so fleeting and ephemeral. My love and I had almost 40 years together. A lot of those years had problems and difficulties that might seem insurmountable but we made an agreement that we would take each problem as it came and battle it together. And we did. Even when it seemed like we’d not be able to rise above a huge trial, we just focused our eyes on the time together after we had triumphed. This is not to say we never felt the normal emotions of despair, rage at our situations, sorrow and many other very human emotions but we refused to let them conquer us. We tended to live each day as though it was our last, trying to keep the joyous memories live forever. But time marches on and as we celebrated our last wedding anniversary we were all too aware that5 the sands in the hourglass were slipping out. The day came when he was diagnosed with pneumonia and end stage Parkinson’s Disease and had only a few days to live. We chose hospice at home. I had him for 6 precious days. Then one evening when I left the room to get my pajamas, he slipped away. Quietly, like the gentle soul he was. I went to him, kissed his beloved face one last time, removed the wedding ring that had only been off his finger for surgery and said goodbye. His last coherent words to me were: “Do you have any idea how much I love you?” I knew. I’d always known. But the mate bond doesn’t break with death. We’re still connected and I know in just a short time we’ll be together again.

This show was completely worth it just to see Shawn create a family of his own, reunite with Mr. Turner and break generational curses. The world needed to see that.

Learned about this film & watched in August 2024. One of the best films I've ever enjoyed. That's saying a lot. Heartbreaking. Heartwarming. Funny. And filled with so much love & great acting all the way around. Emilia Clarke has the most expressive eyebrows of anyone I've known IRL or as an actor or actress. Fantastic movie. Highly recommend!!🫠

I haven’t given this show much of a watch, but in life sometimes the person we love or loved the most isn’t our person. Sometimes the memories the person gave you are better than the actual dynamics of the relationship.

MY problems with this movie, well, script to be precise, he did not have to go to Switzerland to end his days, he could have let the course of his condition to work it out for him (no treatment whatsoever, I mean what is in Australia advanced care plan) and they could have had some great months together. I would have rather a lifetime with a man like him than Patrick. I know, i know it is a movie and it needs to be melodramatic.
